Prop Slipping Mercury 150 XR6 / Wrong Prop?

Hello iboats, hope the weekend is treating everyone well. I have another prop problem I am hoping we can solve once again.

I recently installed Smart Tabs on my boat and changed my prop to a used Laser with the solid older hub and square vent holes. Took the boat out on Friday for a test run. The motor would rev to its normal 5k plus no problem but WOT only got me 30MPH (usually in the low 50s). I used the prop calculator and it worked out to be 42% slippage at WOT! I know this is all wrong. It was also slow to plane (like it had no thrust) and would easily lose a few MPH when we hit a swell.

I am thinking it is one of 3 things, but am usually wrong.

1. Prop ventilation (maybe from new smart tabs?)
2. Clutch dong
3. Hub slipping (last time I had a hub go out I couldn't even get on plane let alone 30MPH with a full load?)

I also noticed this Laser prop has a smaller outter hub then my mirage or vensura. Are exhaust gasses possibly getting around the hub out of the LU? Will not have vent plugs in create that much slippage while underway? I never felt it really grip up, just felt like a really small under pitched prop that couldn's push a load. Any help is always appreciated, Happy Summer!

Ayuh,... That prop is for a smaller gearcased outboard,... It's Ventilating Badly, as expected....
