Prop Spacer and cone

This forum has been a great help for me. I am a new boater< and have been working very hard on restoring a 1985 Bayliner Capri 22 ft Cabin Cutty. But that ia another topic.

Volvo Penta 270 Stern Drive

Here is my very simple question. Just received a new prop, and when putting on the new prop, the cone washer moves left and right a little, the cone is tightened with the allen bolt. Guess I am wondering if this is correct. I do not remember with the old prop.

Your advice would be very helpful.
