Nissan 30hp 4 stroke. Prop spins in neutral when I manually throttle above idle and makes a noise in lower unit. Any ideas?

Take it to a dealer and have them check to see that the shift adjustment is correct. Or it may be normal as engine prop rotation often occurs on engines when in neutral due to the movement of the gear oil.

Props do spin at idle/neutral once on water, you have difinitely a incorrect shift lever stopper miss adjustment that makes that strange sound, peace of cake to adjust.

Where is the actual adjusment made? At idle, prop doesn't spin but you can still here a faint noise in lower unit. When I manually throttle up over idle thats when prop spins and noise get louder. Thanks

With shift lever at neutral and engine off, spin prop by hand, do you hear same noise, like a small clik, clik sound ? If spins free with no sound whatsoever, lever adjustment seems correct, probably you have a mechanical/gear issue on lower leg.
