I bought a single console 2007 SKEETER ZX225 with 225 Yamaha HPDI VMAX November 07. It has a 15 1/8? by 25 pitch Yamaha 3 blade stainless VMAX prop. Without careful straight-edging it looks like 3 to 3.25? below pad. Temps have been cold enough on Lake Mead I haven't opened it up. The ZX Skeeter has an OK hole shot and handles fine (It's a quantum step up from my old 17ft. Skeeter and I'm still learning to drive it); at 56 mph on GPS it's turning 4500 RPM.

Right now I am not thinking about tweaking the setup. It has some very small dings on the prop leading edges and they are starting to show cracks. I am looking for suggestions for a spare prop ? just in case I damage this one on many of the un-marked reefs that are around here; or something at a lower than Yamaha replacement cost with OK performance, while this original is in the prop shop. Any suggestions appreciated.

On older Skeeters we've had real good luck with the Turbo Lightning. The Lightning provides good bow lift. I've not worked with an 07 but have been told they have more built in bow lift than the older models. If that's true you'll do well with the Turbo TXP series.

Basically, if you need a lot of positive trim look at the Lightnings. If you don't require a lot of positive trim, look at the TXP series. Naturally a lot depends on your set up and balance.

Obviously 4500 can't be your top rpm. Keep us posted on how you make out.
