prop tune

hey all i need help choosing right prop for my new boat
i have 2006 24' sea chaser CC w/yamaha 250 hp
14x19" SS prop wot at 6000 rpm at top speed 44 + mph
can i go up on prop pitch {21"} and still be intune??

i'm thinking 4 blades SS

You're running about 18% slip which isn't the greatest but let's look at a couple of things.

You'll want to keep the rpm pretty close to where it is now. If you go to more pitch and pull the rpm down the holeshot will suffer greatly. More so on a 4 stroke than a 2 stroke.

Naturally another variable is the height or X dimension. Is your motor on a jackplate of any type? Also we assume you have a T top, right?

what is jackplate? is transome mount and yes she have T top

It is a structure that bolts between transom and motor to acheive a setback from the transom. Normally they are adjustable up and down, to allow precise positioning of the motor.

Going from a 19 to a 21 means you'll need to mount the motor higher to try and keep the rpm up. If the motor is mounted all the way down now you'll have lots of room to go up. Then going from a 3 blade to a 4 will allow you to move the motor up even more.
