Prop vent holes

Have a Raptor SS prop. Think manufactorer is Michigan. It has plastic inserts at several intervals around the hub. I have been reading that these should be probably removed for better venting/performance. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Try removing balanced combinations, and then test and repeat with other combos. They are designed to help hole shot by introducing exhaust/air into the mix at low speeds. At high speed they should have less to no effect. Trial and error thing as all hull/drive/prop combos behave differently under different loads, speeds etc.

Depends alot on the boat/motor...I removed the plugs on my michigan prop, and it did nothing but severly reduce performance. I quickly put in some new plugs.

Ok, thanks. I will just test and report the results. You know, curoisity always kills the cat.
