Im looking for a prop for my 2008 Q4 mercury is the only brand ive looked at so far i want plane quicker but i dont want lose any of my top end suggestions?
We need much more information about your boat, current prop, and current performance stats, in order to offer any meaningful advice. Please read the info here and report back:
You will lose some top end to plane quicker. It's a trade off, how often do you run at top speed?? Do you do any tubing, waterskiing, etc...?? Go with a prop that has 2inches less pitch, for instance, if you have a 23p prop on there now, go with a 21p. Don't forget that you have to stay in the max rpm operating range, DON'T GO OVER IT!
