I took my boat out today and got about 50yards from the launch when i started to give it some gas and the propeler stoped spinning, I have herd that there may be a pin behind the propeler that will sheer off if you hit somthing is that true?

Sounds like a spun propeller hub.Hopefully not a parted driveshaft.Try placing two scribe marks. One on the propeller hub edge and one on the propeller fit and see if they stay lined up after a test run in water. You can perform this test on the trailer at a launch. You can sometimes just perform a close visual inspection to determine whether the prop hub is spun.

You'll need to take it to a prop shop and have the old hub pressed out and a new one installed.

I'm guessing between about 40-50 bucks depending on the shop.

if the prop is in bad shape, knicked up and all, better to replace. also a prop shop can recondition them, to like new condition.

It was the drive shaft. It had sheered right off.But I fixed it and it works great except I didnt change the seals and it is leaking. Where can I order a seal kit for a 81 75hp Johnson? and I alson need to order new coils for it.
