I recently purchased a 1988 2556 ciera convertable with the 5.7 lt. eng. omc cobra outdrive THE PROPELLERS. I HAVE ARE 15 1/2X 15 ,AND 15X16 DO NOT KNOW IF WHAT I HAVE ARE THE RIGHT ONES OR NOT
WHAT SIZE IS RIGHT FOR THE PROPELLER

Welcome to iboats!:cool:

Those props are in the ballpark. Try each with your typical load of fuel, passengers, and gear. In calm water, you should be able to reach but not exceed the maximum recommended engine RPMs at wide open throttle. That would be between 4600 and 4800 RPM, IIRC. This assumes the engine is running properly. The props must also be in good condition for this; even seemingly minor damage can greatly affect performance.
