125hp force. ihave a 13x19 on my but i need less rpm so i bought a 13x17.to install i need to remove the anode to let the new style hub go on far enough to let the nut go on enough. i want to know if yhe anode being removed will hurt my motor or do i need to buy something?

Is the boat trailered or slipped. If slipped, does the slip have a lift? Is it salt water?<br />The type of water and duration of exposure are the factors in play.<br /><br />At any rate, the anode is a sacrificial alloy that will be atacked instead of other boat metals present. Therefore, the basic answer is to replace it with a bolt-on of the same size and material connected electricaly to the motor frme in any way convienient, and your protection will remain the same.

I you went from a 19" to a 17" pitch you will be getting more rpm's, probably 400 more. Someone else can tell you more about it.

As I said in the other section...they make a FLUSH anode that can replace the trim tab model.<br />You need to know what revs your turning before changing the prop. Whats the RPM @ WOT with the original prop? Whats the redline for your particular motor?
