Proper De-carb method

Any tips on the approved method for Decarbing a '85 force. I bought deep creep and sea foam in a can (kind that goes in the fuel tank).

I looked on the board before posting, but could not find anything.

As far as I am concerned, the proper method would be to take the cans and put them on the shelf. It is my personal opinion --contrary to most-- that unless you have a specific problem, don't use any of that stuff in your engine. But I could be wrong--I got married, didn't I?
