Proper Engine height on rear of pontoon boat.

If the boat is sitting in still water ,how do we know wheather the motor needs to be set up or down. What would the distance be from the top of the prop to the water line be?

Too many variables to answer that question. It is hard to get a motor too low on a pontoon so if it doesn't ventilate at high speeds, then it is ok.

the boat needs to be moving to determine proper motor height. most motors go as low as possible to get to the cleanest water.
