Hi Boat wizards - let me start by saying thanks for the encouragement so far, I feel like I have finally gotten the worst part of this project behind me now -
I am amazed by the depth and breadth of the knowledge on this board!
The latest news in my adventure is I found that I was able to remove the manifolds without taking the engine up on a hoist. i was able to put a low profile socket in there with 1/16 inch to spare. (Yeah, gee thanks, Stingray Engineers!)
so i got a bunch of black powdery gook from the two lower drain plugs and a few chips of impellor out , but only one big chunk...
i wonder if there's more behind this fitting?
how likely is this to break - when I take it off... it feels like plastic...
and why is there a check valve on my exhaust manifold supply line? is it to relieve pressure if there's too much inflow?
