Hi all,
First timer with replacement hubs and bearings. I picked up a set of new hubs and bearings and had the shop pack them and tried the install myself. On the install, I was told to tighten the nut, spin the hub then back of a bit. I did this but not sure how much to back off. I backed off just enough so the nut is not completely loose, but in doing so, feels like the hub still does not spin completely smooth, feels like its still tight. Am i being paranoid or should i back off more on the nut? or will it just loosen with use? I'm making my first trip (120 miles) tomorrow night after that its only less than 1 mile to the lake roundtrip for the summer. Just don't want to ruin the new bearings.
Thanks all for your helpful insight.
