Re: proper rise for outboard bracket
I have a 30 inch bracket on our 23' SportCraft using a Suzuki DT-225 engine. You have a lot of latitude in adjusting engine height once the bracket is on there but as mine stands right now it is mounted such that the cavitation plate is 5.5" above the very bottom of the keel-line of the boat. I am running my engine at the next to the highest bolt hole so its clear that my bracket could have been mounted higher than it is so that I would be using one of the middle bolt holes to mount the engine on the bracket. That would have given me more latitude in adjusting engine height depending on which prop I was using. By the way, I moved my enigne up almost an inch when I went to a 4-blade.<br /><br />Thom
