I'm replacing the water hose on an old inline ser.#3286441. All parts listings I find they say 13 3/4". It seems that I vaguely remember that, that was a type-o & the length should be 12 3/4"!
Can I get anyone to agree or even disagree?

Thanks

Re: Proper water hose length on mcm-1

i will agree that i often cut about 3/4" off one end of the water passage hose when installing a new one in a transom assy

if the old one is kinked, i do my best to measure agianst the new one prior to cutting it, if they are the same length, i trim it as described above

if the old hose is simply worn out i still measure and if i find the old one to be about 3/4" shorter than the new one i trim the new one as described above

Yeah, I know! Too long kinks on lefties, too short it stresses the bellows!

The more I think about it, the 12 3/4" was the "shop policy lenght".

Thanks for taking the time
