Our beaches can be very shallow, so I just walk her in...

...and anchor her bow out in about two feet of water with the OB tilted right up. The occasional sand "landing" polishes her bum nicely! :)

we "beach" at lake roosevelt. i idle in, turn the motor off and raise the outdrive, till i can step off the bow, then turn it around by hand so the bow is out. throw the anchor off the bow and tie the stern off to a tree or stake on the beach. (if the admiral ties it off...make sure to double check it without her knowing:rolleyes:)....had an issue with that once....had to swim for it at 3 am..... if it's rocky i make darn sure the hull won't scrape....if its sandy i don't worry too much but i do keep an eye on it....if it's rubbin too much i'll move it out a little.

In my case, it'd have to be a pretty big boat, with a pretty big wake to bother me. I've taken on worse on a marina mooring. Either way, closed deck, so it runs right off except for a couple of air intakes. On the to-do list is to add dorade boxes to them so the bilge stays bone dry.
