Picture this,<br /><br />beautiful sunny day, trolling with 4 lines out, Neil Diamond playing softly in the background. Not a care in the world, just soaking up the rays and drowning some lures. I get a hit on one of the lines but I wasn't paying attention and they get tangled. No big deal, put it in neutral but the gentle breeze is pushing me sideways so I select reverse to straighten everything up. Motor revs up but no reverse, try forward, same thing - just revving and no forward motion.<br /><br />So I motor back to the marina on the little kicker and all the while wondering how much it's gunna cost to fix whatevers broken in the 270 VP leg. Get back and tie up, lift the leg - props gone. Some idiot replaced the prop last week and didn't bend the lock tab over because lunch was being served and he planned on getting back to that job right after a tuna sandwich and a beer or two. <br /><br />But the idiot forgot.<br /><br />Props don't float <br /><br />Aldo

hooked up with a 32" stripper to the sounds of neil..but dammned if i can remember whitch one!<br />and yep we landed it...pretty sure it was the beach boys buy the time we got it in

Wow Duna, the boys have really given poor old Neil a pasting. Thanks for bringing up the topic of "who's musical taste can we diss next!" Go back to the spot... put on some Van Morrison and the prop'll magically reattach itself!

Must be an age thing. My Cd stacker usually has Neil, Dean, Nat (King Cole), Sinatra and Diana Krall, ACDC every once in a while

Neil D has a concert in Portland Oregon in September (about 20 minutes from me). I'm thinking real hard about going. I missed an opportunity to see him in San Diego back in early '80. I was having 'girlfriend' issues. I've regretted not going ever since.
