Is this prop any good? I'm new to the whole boating thing and lookin for a prop that would be good as an all purpose prop. I posted earlier but no one replied so I did some digging on my own and I came across this interesting concoction that claims to be 5 props in 1. It apparently has interchangeable blades for when I run into the rocks (which I know I WILL do, already did it once lol luckily I wasnt even moving 1 inch/hr lol, just got a small dent on the ol prop. I like the idea of being able to switch out busted blades, or remove 2 blades and operate with just 2 blades if I break one out on the pond and have to limp back running on just 2 if I dont have a spare. I also liked the adjustable pitch because it seems like it could easily change from a skiing prop to a cruising across the lake prop.

The question I have really is, has anyone actually used these props? Are they any good? Do they break to easily? How expensive are they? How expensive are the replacement prop blades? Are they readily available here in the U.S.? etc etc.

This is the website link:

Then another question would be, if these props are indeed any good, which would should I get for a fairly heavy 16' open bow runabout boat with a 140HP inboard. All the specs are in my other thread that no one replied to.

Hmm no I have not seen the piranha. Thanx for that link. Comparisons are always good :) Any opinion on them vs the propulse? Or opinion in general about the piranha?

Re: Propulse Prop. Fiction or Fact?

I posted a thread on here about my experience w/ propulse - do a search and read up - I'll never trust another plastic prop again.
