I was at my local WestMarine store today and saw the ProPulse Props, they are a composite material and the pitch can be adjusted, and damaged blades can be replaced. They claim to be stronger than aluminum props. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them or had heard good/bad reviews.

I believe they're rated for low hp engines. Would like to know about them myself.

FatBack, the ones that i saw were rated for
155hp-up to 275hp, I am just kind of weary of them.

FatBack,
They were only 159.99, thats in OKC, it would be worth it to have them for a spare prop if you ask me.
They have a website, check it out and see what you think.
I think it is www.propulse.com

one of my boats is under powered. This might help the situation. It would be real nice if you could adjust while underway like an airplane prop. Seems like I've heard of one that will do that.

Re: ProPulse Propellers

If you're asking about the propulse props, I have one on my 1989 merc 25. I love it. It has no vibration, great get up and go, great gas saver and the adjustable pitch is awesome. I've hit some sand and small rocks going about 35mph or so without anymore than a little wear on the edge of the blades. I did hit a rock bed once and broke a blade but I was able to buy a new one for $19, which is a huge improvement over $60-80 for a new aluminum prop. I fish the Santee River and Lake Moultrie in South Carolina and those are some very hard to navigate waters with all the stump fields and sand bars. I feel comfortable enough with it to go through those and never think twice. It's a great prop for a lower hp motor.
