Just kind of curious to see to what degree people go to protect their boats while trailering on the open road.
I have to trailer my boat 50 miles round trip to my local lake, probably 2 times a week. Just did a 200 mile round trip this last weekend, and usually make a 600 mile round trip 3-4 times a year. The local lake is 2 lane paved highway, and the longer trips are mainly interstates. So, never ever gravel roads.
I use the Emkay Rock Tamers and love them. In the 2 years I've had my current boat, I've never observed any kind of rock chip or other damage to the boat. I know there are other similar products, such as Towtectors, and even some products that mount on the trailer protecting the whole bow of the boat.
Like I said, just wondering what other people did, what other products they used, and how they like them.
