Hey, anyone know how I can identify the model. I purchased her a few days ago and since it rained here for a few, I just took her out today to grab pictures and share it among other good and great folks here.

Thank you to all.

What do you think? Not bad for a few hundreds right.. I'm going to take her onto the water here at the Niagara River on Saturday, or the Buffalo Harbor. Little nervous since I've never ever launched a boat lol. People are going to think I'm nuts.

I think she's awesome! Great find. I used to have an old Johnson '66 33 hp Big Twin myself. Great old motor with lots of low end torque. Yours has the dark green paint on the lower half which makes it a '68-'72ish model, I believe. Congrats on the new toy. Keep us posted on the maiden voyage.

Very nice boat..Check the Starcraft Brochure thread to find more info..
Thinking Nassau or Jet.

Do you have any boating experience? If not...I strongly suggest you find a buddy that has some and for sure take a USCG boating coure.

I think Nassau. Compare the measurements in the 1967 brochure. This seems to have the flat keel at the stern. Does she have a serial number plate?

nice boat! and welcome. this is a great boat to learn those skills on....light, sturdy, easy to manhandle if you don't get your trailer approach just right, etc. BUT from what little i know of the Niagara river, this is not a place to learn boating skills. try a medium sized lake first.

I thought I would drop a silly but to me interesting question. How do I drop the anchor at the bow, if I've got a windshield in front of me and walking on top not really safe? Can I drop it bu the bow side of the windshield?

Any suggestions?

don't know where you go but we go to the coast so we run ashore jump out anchor in hand and clip the line to the bow eye and sink the anchor and push the boat back into the water. from in the boat will be a different story. chunk the anchor out and reach over the windshield and drop a loop over the cleat in the center of the bow and work it to the chock.

cb, looks great. Nice job on the very fast paint job.

Let us know how the test run went.

Also looks like you could use some transom to trailer straps, I hope that blue rope wasn't holding the boat down.
