Well where do I start. Looking on CL last two weeks and a tri hull fiberform caught my eye for a just to use on the river boat. Good Hull mostly, interior fixable without doing a complete floor. Powered by a old Evenrude 35 Rope pu;ll motor. and a very decent trailer Guy wanted 200. I looked and looked at pic and figu;red I could fix motor and sell as it being a rope pull Im not that interested. Went to look at it and the motor never ran on that boat as all the controll are Merc and there is no wireing to the motor Steering good but nothinh hooked upto motor. I said To me self I can get this cheap and cost very little for a throw it in the river boat. Offered him 100 he went into his house then came back out and said how about 150 I said split difference 125 he said sold . So i brought it home cleaned it up and will have to do very little work. I have a 6 hp Johnson rope pull but real easy to do that runs well. I also have my 4 stroke elect 9.9 Merc on my 22 holiday so will work something out. YES IT IS A GLASER but for what i wanted a cheap replacment for my 16 SS I just sold it will do . Well off to the Pacific this next week end time to get big bertha out on the water. Hell of a way to spend the day but a guys gotta do wha guys gotta do. This may be the last post of the Glasssssssssssssssss Boat.just want to be honest. Pugetsound .

What, no pics? Now you know better than that Puget, you cannot just get a glasser and not let us see it before it dies.

OK ill take a couple today.Im also just going to do the transom and resheet the floor. Not spending a lot of time or $$$$$ on this . As I said I just want a river boat for Silvers and Pinks. This will be less expensive to run and cheaper then a 2 month mooring at the local docK Like you im only 7 blocks from the river and the boat launch.

Yea it is cool living close to the river and a boat ramp. I do not need to slip mine either but may just for the salmon runs, don't know for sure yet. I guess I have to get it finished before I even think about slipping it or not.

The tax man cometh and the boat I sold to a nam vet that can't get into to many boats . He is happy and my boat fund got a boost. I may get another to work on but honestly my age is catching up faster than my mind says it is. Got a tri hull with a 35 Old johnson and a first rate trailer. Paid $125. I have on hand most of what it will take to get it ready for the river. Still have the 22 holiday and will use it ocasionally on the Skagit river. But very difficult to re load in the current . There is no break water just a straight shot in the water. I will post a photo or two but no laughing when I do. LOL

Took the interior out of the boat and was goin to just reinforce the trasnsom. WAS , think I will strip it if I do not have to remove the cap. That I will not do. Took the floor saw and cut out the floor as well as a nick or two in the hull. Heck fiberglass has one good thing easy to fix. Removed most of the foam. This thing could have survived a dirict hit from the Bismark. About 3-4 hundred # of wet. The fiber form had a completely isolated bottom untill some idiot cut round holes and let water in. ther is no way to drain water from the low part of the hull. But will be soon. Now the fun part took the tin lizzy 22 holiday out to the salt today and just enjoyed the day before the 4 th big rush. every thin on it is ready to go. Now I know why I quit a good job In Spokane Wa with Fruhauff Trailers we made fiberglass ref. units.

Thought you were going to be up here this weekend. Had the steaks, well burgers actually all thawed out and everything, just kidding. Your age must be catching up to you, I think you've forgotten how to use your camera. Even if it is a glasser. I know the feeling about loading the boat in a river. I don't mind launching, but I not looking forward to loading the boat at the Cocollalla Slough ramp. I have problems with my 16 footer there. I had an extra drain thru the transom for the false bottom of my glass boat. It was in it when I bought it back in about 74.

I had planned to come over on the 5th of July for several days. Kids and Wife superseeded my plans. Son would like to use the cabin for a 5 day stay as he is checking out colleges in the area. I think . My Brother in law ( whom we share expensis and costs with ) will be there from July 12 to August then leave on Aug &. My wife will meet two friends comeing by Train from Chicago at Sandpoint for a 6 day stay at the cabim. THEN I should be able to squeze in a few day before the Pink Salmon season opens on the river. (Sept 1. ) Yikes All the work ,pay all the bills and get the last choice. Sounds like a married guy. LOL It will all work out. I will post a couple Photos of the strip down when I figure out the process of getting them from my new camera to the forum. In the mean time Ill send you a couple photos to your web site. Why woud any one build a boat with a bottom drain????????????????????????????

Basically you're saying your a normal husband/father, wife or kids cnd override your plans. Been there, done that just a few weeks back. As for the drain in the bottom, this was a mid 50's (I think) boat, not floatation, and a false bottom with wood stringers under it. As near as I can remember, it looked a lot like Tundra's Caravel http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=471908 It was also almost 40 yrs ago and some of my memory may not be too good. I don't remember a lot of the early to mid 70's, some by choice, some by alcohol.
