Pulling a tube

Will my 17' Ranger with a 115 Johnson pull a tube alright? Never tried this with a bassboat. Since I've moved back to Texas, I have been working my *** off, and now it is time to spend quality time with the family.

You should have no problem at all unless you're set up for top speed only. If the boat performs well with two or three people in it at 0-25 mph then it should do about the same with a tube behind it, they pull real easy. Have fun, be sure you have the right rope and attachments on the boat and that everyone involved knows how to safely participate.

No prah, dude. Calico is all over this, with the ability to make good tight turns and throttle control, you'll be able to do just about anthing with a tube. Your boat will be a lot of fun!!!!

you should have no problem pulling a tube with that motor. I have tubed before behind a 15' bass boat with a 40 mar doing around 30 on it so you should have no problem.

Is 75' of rope long enough?

yea most are 60' feet which we used this weekend behind my roomates baja which was fine.

If there are lot's of coves and stuff where you can find better water, I like the 60'. This allows me to drive into even pretty tight spots and make a decent turn and then pull them out. 75' is easier to keep inside the wake. Have fun. Pullin' a tube can be a lot of work if they like to crash . . . but I still enjoy it. It's real easy if they just want to stay behind the boat and go straight. The only other thing I would say is that a little above idle and before the boat starts to plane, there is a speed where a tube will start to submarine. Watch for that, it can scare the heck out of the person on the tube, and it feels like your boat is messed up too, because the towed load goes up real fast.
