I'm pulling my engine(1993 Merc 4.3LX) and found some wires that aren't connected to anything.
The wires come out of, or go to(not sure direction there) the engine wiring harness.
One set is purple and purple with a yellow stripe.
Another wire is tan with a blue stripe.
The tan wire is in a sleeve with a blue wire that connects to a small bell shaped thing that is connected to the back of the intake manifold. I think it's the oil pressure sender. Just a guess by trying to figure out the repair manual, but is the tan/blue wire for a warning buzzer of some sort?
The purple wires are also in a sleeve together, and they run to the transom and are capped off together.
In the repair manual it looks like the purple wires might be for an Auto Trim II System. But they are not shown in the wiring schematic. I'm guessing they are capped off because I don't have the auto trim system? Would this be correct?
