and I need to know if I HAVE to pull the bell housing/rear motor mounts off in order to do so. It is coming out of my '73 Grady White 212 Chesapeake and has the OMC 165 Outdrive/Intermediate housing.

I'd much rather unbolt the motor from the bell housing and take the 4 bolts off the front end (off of the motor mount there) and pull it. The only thing I'm not sure about is if the flywheel (or anything else in the housing) will prevent me from doing so.

Doing it this way (I think) will keep me from having to disconnect the 2 wiring harnesses and some other solenoid wiring as well as the fact that I just don't want to mess with the stringers/mounts if I don't have to. Today, I disconnected everything necessary to pull it if "my way" works.

The new motor, manifold, riser, starter, alternator, thermostat (and upper/lower housings), water pump, fuel pump, distributor, gaskets, etc, etc, etc have been ordered today and I can't wait to have ALL NEW POWER IN HER!!!

Thanking you in advance,

Duke
