Just because you have been doing it for 10 years doesn't mean it's necessary.
Just clamping a hose on the top of the dipstick tube will do the same thing, no need to have the tube in a tube. That just makes the tube smaller in diameter for no reason.
Example. The ID of the dip stick tube is about 5/16" ID. Why would you want to stick a 1/4" OD tube with about a 1/8" ID, down that dipstick tube when you can clamp a 3/8" ID hose onto the top of the dipstick tube and suck out the oil through a 5/16" tube.
