Hey all,
I'm in the process of rebuilding the interior of my old '87 Thundercraft bowrider. The floor and stringers were all rotting, so I decided to bite the bullet and strip it down to bare hull and rebuild the supports and floor.
While I'm at it, I am contemplating updating the interior. My upholstery is in good condition, but I was pondering putting a newer more modern interior. Are there any boat salvage yards, preferably in Canada, that deal in such a thing. I'm thinking an insurance write-off, something that ran aground, theft recovery, etc, that I could purchase all of the seats and cushions from. I am going to be building all new supports/structure for the seating and storage compartments, along with the side panels anyhow, so I figured what the heck.
So is this realistic, or am I out in left field here?
