120 evinrude runs fine but noticed that if push choke in while running in gear it peps up more rpm.Is this normal,if not are the carbs stopped up or ???

Your engine is running too lean. Find the source of the problem before you fry the powerhead. Probably carbs need cleaning, but could be fuel pump or plumbing.
