putting in a new control box......???????

hey guys

i just got my new teleflex control in and every boat shop around is booked up for a month.....i think i can do the swap myself but the cables will probably need a swap too....i have never done this before and need a little help.... the new teleflex is getting mounted up with a 5.7l merc....i am getting ready to tear into it.....i will post some pics in a little bit once i get the old box off.....wish me luck.....any pointers or tricks i can use would be greatly appreciated.

Which model Teleflex binnacle did you get? Chances are it uses universal cables, which will probably need adapters at the engine end...
