Champ, If you look at the old ones, you can see how they go together. Usually I strip 1/8" of insulation off the end and shove the point of the spring into the wire, such that the spring just touches the wire I just stripped. Now spray the boot and wire with wd-40 and shove the boot onto the spring and wire. Make sure the opening in the boot lines up with opening in the spring. The other end of the wire usually is shoved into the coil, where a needle makes contact with the core of the wire. You may want to seal the area where the coil mets the wire, with silicone.
