I picked up a Q-Jet last year for my 90 350 mag, but now I look at a few books and it says that the Jet, Primary and Secondary rods are differant. Boat runs perfect now with the stock 260HP carb on it. I dont have the stock carb anymore. Is it worth getting the jetting change and rods? I see GM still stocks the .069 Jet and Edelbrock makes the correct secondary rods, but nobody makes the primary rods anymore. There is a large gap between stock and Mag Primary rods so would the next size leaner from the mag motor be better then the really lean 260 rods? Edelbrock makes the .037 but not the .036 mag rod.

"Boat runs perfect now"

So, what are you trying to adjust? ;)

Just trying to go back to original 350Mag settings to try it?

Calculate area of the original 350 Mag: 0.069 - .036 rod = 0.0027214

0.069 - .037 = 0.0026640, diff from mag = 0.0000574

Assuming you have 068 jets and 041 rods = 0.0023114, diff from org mag = 0.00041

The 069 jet and 37 rods are just slightly leaner than original Mag. I doubt you could tell the difference.

PS: check my math ;)
