quadra jet merc 5.7 260hp

getting ready to launch boat after long spring of nickles and dimes. complete tune up boat will not idle bleow 1000 rpm. it has a quadra jet 4 brl. what should i be looking for also there is a quadra jet expert at my local napa if i need a rebuild what are the differences in auto to marine carbs?<br />thanks

Did it idle before the complete tuneup? <br />What year engine we talking about here?<br />After you did the timing check, did you readjust the carb idle mixture? <br />Is the choke opening?
