I have a 1988 Seaswirl Sable which has a Quadrajet 4MV Par Number 17059286. It always needs to be adjusted and rebuilt annually. Has anyone swapped out your quadrajet for a holley marine or summit marine carburetor? I am tired of fiddling with this carb.

rebuilt annually
I'm sure it went the first 10 years of its life without a rebuild. If it is rebuilt properly, it will be fine for the good part of a decade.
Buy the kit from BRP - the OEM carb kit is about $45

I don't buy the ethanol thing either. I am on year 5 with my rebuilt Qjet- no issues. I run E10 and add nothing to it.

Mind you I have a plastic tank. Maybe your tank is full of crud? Is it aluminum?

As Howard said, When rebuilt properly a quadrajet will last a LONG time. Google Cliff Ruggles, he is the quadrajet guru, he also sells
rebuild kits, specific to your carb number. Ruggles has a book, but it is more geared to performance and not basic rebuilding. What type of problems are you experiencing?
