Quadrajet. Mixture screws

1988 Mercruiser v6
205 HP. Q Jet 4 Barrel.
My mixture screws are flat on the end like a screw driver end.
Can't find anything to fit it properly
suggestions please.

There are carb adapting tools that have a flex shaft with different adaptors one of which will fit the mixture screws on the QJet. I think they are a D shape actually. Go to a good auto parts store and ask for it.

turn them in with a vice grip till they seat gently and count the turns. take em out, cut a nice deep slot into each one for a regular screw driver and ur done. or jb weld a stainless or brass fitting over it u can use a 1/4 socket on.

man love those qjets!
