I have a new to me 1995 Yamaha c115. When idleing through flats with the engine trimmed up (not to high still good water flow through pee hole) the engine will stahl and will only start again if I choke the engine. Any thoughts? I was thinking maybe fuel pump?

Your description would indicate that the motor does not stall when trimmed all the way down, is that correct?

Correct only stahls (sometimes) when idleing tilted and requires choke to restart

It is starving of fuel, probably a needle/seat issue. You need to check the fuel system and test for correct fuel pressure, leaks, hard primer bulb etc. Rebuilding the carbs is pretty much a given.
