Question - 2 Strokes Engine oil

Hi,

I have a 95 Force 120 HP Carb Engine, I got some Mercury Premium Plus 2 Strokes Engine oil, it?s TC-3W Certified. But when I read the smaller print, it says special formulated for DFI engine... Does it matter??? Can I use it for my Force engine?
Also, it cost me $7 per 32oz? That?s too expensive? Can I just use a cheaper TC-3W certified 2 stroke oil like U.S. Marine Premium 2 Stroke oil ($3.70 per 32oz)?

Thanks for your input.

Re: Question - 2 Strokes Engine oil

You could use any tcw3 rated oil.
Walmart oil is $7.50 a gallon.
Pennzoil Full Synthetic oil is $21 a gallon

Engine should smoke less with the synthetic.

Roscoe,

Thank you. You?re very helpful every time when I have questions. I was worried because I put the oil in the tank, then later come to find out what the small print says?
