I am confused on my year model. Titled as a 1986, serial number is 8501-716610 and the plate just says DT85
The most confusing is the Suzuki shop manual, the year codes are letters like QD or VH. In my shop manual it goes from 1983 DT85 "QD" model and then the next chapter is 1987 DT85 "VH" model. I understand that many of the adjustments are universal across years of the same motor. An example of one of the questions that I haven't been able to answer for myself is how much to adjust the air/idle screws for my motor. I know where my motor likes the screws set to (1.25-1.5), but this is almost a full turn off from what the book says I should be at (1.75-2.25). So this leaves me wondering what year motor I really do have.
If anyone can give me a for sure on the year model it would be much appreciated!
