question about a mercarb

hey, i have just finished putting a float in my mercarb and i was wondering how the choke works?? is it just a hot wire hat goes to the center or is it linked to the thermostat????/var/folders/bF/bF3YOL6lHUSS0RFXMvFgw++++TI/-Tmp-/com.apple.PhotoBooth-T0xa10200.tmp.BAdOli/Photo 46.jpg

There is heater coil inside the housing and when power is supplied to it the heater coil starts to coil up and operates the choke
