I searched, but didn't come up with anything. I'm a new owner, the boat is a 88 and has a mercruiser 4.3. What weight oil should I use? I've spent a few hours on google and didn't come up with anything. Thanks in advance.

Ayuh,....

Welcome Aboard Toolman,..... You're Kidding, Right,..??..??

If you searched This forum right Here,.... Just the word "Oil" should work....
You'd be spending Weeks reading about the Great Oil Debate............ :D

The long,+ short of it is,.....
About Any Oil that can be found on the shelf of a Wally World, will run Just Fine in your motor,.....
And,....
For the LOONNNGGGG explanation,.... Just search Oil......;)

Personally,.....
I run Mobil 1 in 15W-50 in My mid-90s vintage 4.3LX, with just about it's 1st, 1,000hrs on the clock....

Btw,.....
If you go Here,...... You can download the Factory Manual for your Motor,+ See what Mercruiser says....

If you really want to know what Mercruiser recommends for their engines, here is the latest service bulletin on the subject.
