Logically I'd say no. For one, I can't imagine it wouldn't mess with the dynamics of what the hydrofoil is trying to do. Also, the thing is going to vibrate like hell when you're moving. But most importantly, it's gonna be right smack in your prop wash, so you won't get any true reading at all. Get some 3M 4200 and attach it to the transom properly.
