Question about posting tools

how do I enable or use the smilies on the right side of the posting box? and how do I upload pictures on to the post?

The smileys, you just click on where ya want them

click on smilie, tried that,it does not work on my post,does'nt excite my curser at all.. its like they are disabled.

They probably are disabled then. After you click reply, scroll
down and see the Additional options section. I'm guessing
the "Disable smilies in text" box is selected. If so, deselect it
and away ya go....if that's not the deal then maybe there's
another option for it in the control panel.

The thing that works for me, is, try what ya think might work, then try sumthin' else when it don't

Go to UserCP and click edit options.
Scroll to the bottom to where you see this.
Message Editor InterfaceWhen posting messages to the forums or other members, there are three interface types available to you. The simplest of these is a simple text box, while the last is a fully-fledged WYSIWYG editor, which allows you to format your text as you want it and see the results immediately.

Depending upon the capabilities of your web browser, you may not be able to use all of these options. If you experience problems when posting messages, try switching to a different interface type.
Basic Editor - A simple text box
Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls
Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing Message Editor Interface:

Make sure you have the enhanced interfaced-Full WYSIWYG Editing in the box.
Click save and that should do it.

Did you check/change your settings in UserCP as I described?

printed your post and took it with me all the way to user cp settings and followed it thru 3 times.. when I first started on this site they worked,but they stopped working around 3 weeks ago..

Are you using the quick reply or are you going advanced?

I only enable emoticons using advanced.
