Question about prop nut tabs

Back in May, after my splash, my buddy noticed that the prop nut on my 150HP Merc XR6 only had 3 of the prop nut tabs pushed down. The other 3 were up. The engine is a '92 and the prior owner had it for 11 years, so I'm guessing all is okay as is.

I'd post pix, but that function isn't working on the board right now.

Anyway, should all 6 of the tabs be bent down?

You only need one or the tabs bent to keep the nut in check

Bending three down is normal. Only 3 will be in the correct position, at any one time.
