I have recently purchased a brand new set of Smart Tabs that I found at a garage sale and would like to know if anyone here has used this size on a boat similar to mine.
The box said they work for boats up to 18 feet (model ST780-20) but when I use the product finder on their website it says to use the model ending in 40 (guessing it is one size up).
I have a 1974 15' trihull (Fiberform) with a 70 HP main outboard and a 10 HP kicker (both 2 stroke) and was wondering if I would get better performance using the tabs I just bought or if I need to get the bigger ones (if I can ever afford it).
What I DON'T want to do it drill the holes for these and then have to drill new holes later if I find these do not work...so maybe someone would also know if the holes would be the same on the two different models.
This boat will be used primarily for running out in the saltwater to find the fishing grounds...trolling for hours then running back in.
Thanks.
