That video looked like it was just steam to me. My BIL's Nova with thru-hulls puts out an enormous amount of steam just like that. Now mind, his is twins, but still there's an awful lot of "smoke" but no oil or fuel smell.
I agree with philster about smelling burning oil...there is just no mistaking it.

Thank you, it really is! The PO took really good care of it, I got a binder of service records dating back before 96'. Here is a picture of it. The guy also put a new paint job on the boat and it looks very nice!

It was definitely steam, I put my face right next to the exhaust, and I my face was nice and moist after from all the steam.
