Question about Transducer

I purchased my boat and it was already equipped with a hummingbird high speed transducer. That is all i can find on it. Is there somewhere on it that specifically says what type it is. I bought a hummingbird piranha 170 fish finder today only to find out that the transducer did not fit the one on the boat. Is there any way to tell exactly what type it is so i can buy a fish finder that would fit it. Any info would help. Ill be going to return the 170 tomorrow.

lol it is not on there.....Is it possible that it could be an older model that they do not make anymore? Ive searched everywhere to find one that looked like it. Here is what mine looks like. A diamond shape with the line coming out of the middle of it.

You might consider removing the old transducer and ending your search. Replace it with the new transducer that matches your new fish finder.

The pic looked like the wires are exposed. It may be compromised. I'm not sure finding a fishfinder for a transducer is a good idea, let alone that one. They usually come with one anyway.
