I just bought me a travel trailer and I wanted to wire a 30 amp plug so I could plug the trailer up to my house. From the breaker box to where I want the plug is 30 feet. What size wire would I need to run for that amperage? I have a roll of 10 gauge and I was hoping I could use this.

10 guage will be just fine its whaat we run for AC condensors every day and they usually have a 30 amp breaker. I could actually look it up but your fine with 10 guage.

Yea #10 is fine. You can use either multi conductor or single conductor cable.

Thanks to you both..I was just unsure about the size of the wire and the length I had to run.
