Question and Update on Sunbird Corsair

The little Sunbird is up and running and I even bought a decent truck to tow it with. Putting it in the water this weekend.
Got a question, can a newer, more modern out drive be attached to that Cobra 4.6 motor?

There are replacements for the Cobra drive available from SEI.com, but if your Cobra is in good shape and the shift cable is kept properly adjusted, there is no reason to replace it. Are you having problems with the drive?

I've never heard of a 4.6. Ford motor?
