And "De Nile" is indeed a river in Egypt.

For something that did not exist, everyone sure fell all over themselves in 2000 trying to give it away!

Re: Question for all those that voted for Kerry

I am working on being a Republican now so am I to understand that when it comes out the W's administration has produced lowest unemployment when these corp are all announcing huge layoffs, and flat inflation when housing values are soaring, and the economy is booming, I am to believe.

When the same sources show Clinton had surplus in the budget and we now are increasing the deficit up to $3 trillion since we took power, I say no false numbers created by liberal media.

I am catching on here.

You're catching on, Tx.

Deny reality until you no longer can possibly get away with it, and when all else fails, make a joke about the size of Hillary's posterior or her new hair style.

Over 12hrs. later and still nobody taking the banner of the man they wanted as president. We voted for lower taxes. Others wanted higher taxes, why did you not pay more? That is what this tread is about. Not another venue for Republican bashing.

As soon as the republicans can figure out a plan to reduce what they spend, I'll get more interested in how we can reduce revenue.

I tried the same theory with my Mastercard, explaining to my bank I no longer wanted to make the payment because it was inconvenient. For some reason, they objected.

PW2 finally you make some sense.

The US Gov cant raise taxes and get it self out of this jam. They must cut spending.

And yes, I aint too happy with GWB or Rebulicans about this either.

I suggest a new revenue stream. Back bill the countries of the illegal immigrants for all the free stuff they get. Sounds like the wordings for a new post. :D

Ken

The administration is doing great, I have sold my company (turned over to my son for a payout) and have enough money to live my life without government support. Thank you W for making my life so good. However, when I get old enough I will take that medicare thing, W you obviously like your medical friends more than me.

Ken,

The problem with buying votes is that you have to promise to give enough people what they want, only you have to figure out a way to fund it with money from those that won't or can't vote against you.

This is of course why they go after the money of children, born and not yet born, as they don't yet have the ability to vote.

Even a republican is not silly enough to think that somehow a dem is going to allow them to buy votes while voluntarily paying for them to do it.

Yet again you lost me on the policemen reference, Boomie.

Are you suggesting it is yet another liberal cash give-a-way?

It could be, and is a legitimate point of view, for sure.

All I ever ask is that when the good Repubs want to cut taxes, they lay out which programs they want to cut to pay for those tax cuts. You cannot forever expand government and benefits, while at the same time cutting taxes without at some point in time facing catastrophic consequences

PW, you're only a few keystrokes away from Boom to accuse you of "falling asleep in economics class." :D

Glad to see that you have stayed awake in class Skinnywater. :p ...but there are limits and in this I will give PW the nod. It's one thing to have to fund a war but GW certainly has gone on a non-essential spending spree. I would have hoped for better from him.

Not as many as you might think. The military loses most of it's people from accidents and suicide. There certainly would NOT be 2300 more alive today if it weren't for the war. There would be some, yes. But not 2300.

http://web1.whs.osd.mil/mmid/casualty/Death_Rates.pdf
