Hi everyone,

Quick question: I am going to take everything apart again to check if the "wet" run was successful. So far, it went fine, but since I am taking everything apart again my question is:

Can I use automotive High-Temp Red RTV Silicone GAsket Maker around the O ring cover (gear lube cover w/ Dipstick) to make it water-tight?

High Temp Silicon around here to make it water tight? I am still going to use a new O ring, just want added peace of mind.

How about HighTemp Red RTV silicon in the threads of those four bolts? Or maybe blue loc-tite instead?

Blue loc-tite or High Temp silicon on the threads of these four or five bolts?

Thanks again, you are such a great help!

you can add RTV to the cover or bolt threads if you like, but no to the loctite.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I will use only RTV to the cover and on the threads. I will refrain from using blue loc-tite and stick to RTV. I will wet test it again next week.

Thank you again,

Joe
